For two meaningful days, the CPTEd-Student Teaching Office through the assistance of the Local Student Council hosted the pre-deployment seminar with the theme "Future-ready Pre-Service Teachers: Reflective, Inclusive, and Responsive Field Practice." This is a transformative learning experience designed to prepare tomorrow's educators for the demands of the 21st-century classroom.
The seminar provided participants with valuable insights on reflective teaching practices, inclusive education, professional ethics, and responsive field experiencesโequipping them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become competent, compassionate, and innovative teachers.
A defining moment of the event was the Candle Lighting and Pinning Ceremony, a cherished tradition symbolizing the light of knowledge, unwavering commitment, and dedication to the noble teaching profession. As each candle was lit and every pin was bestowed, the future educators embraced the responsibility of becoming lifelong learners, mentors, and catalysts of positive change in the lives of their future students.
The success of this two-day seminar was made even more meaningful through the presence and steadfast support of our university officials, college administrators, faculty members, parents, and local student leaders, whose inspiring messages and active participation reaffirmed their shared commitment to nurturing future educators. Their encouragement and collaboration reflect a strong partnership in advancing quality teacher education and empowering pre-service teachers to become reflective, inclusive, and responsive professionals.
As future teachers continue their field observation and practice teaching journey, may they carry with them the values of excellence, integrity, service, and compassionโready to inspire, lead, and make a lasting difference in every classroom they enter.
Congratulations to all our Practice Teachers and Field Study students! Your journey toward becoming transformative educators has only just begun.
