🤝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 ✨

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management welcomed the CHED Technical Panel-Regional Quality Assessment Team (TP-RQAT) on August 12, 2026, for an on-site evaluation of the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

As part of the assessment, the team conducted an ocular inspection of relevant facilities and learning resources and engaged with the CHTM Dean, Associate Dean, Program Chair anf faculty members to gain insights into the program’s academic practices, instructional delivery, resources, and support systems. The program was represented by Chef Christian Anthony G. Castillo, together with the CHTM academic team.

The visit served as a meaningful opportunity for CHTM to showcase its continued efforts in providing quality, relevant, and industry-responsive tourism education while ensuring alignment with CHED standards and requirements. More than an evaluation, the engagement strengthened our commitment to continuous improvement and to creating learning opportunities that prepare our students for the evolving tourism and aviation sectors.

Through the collective efforts of our faculty, academic leaders, and support personnel, CHTM continues to move forward in advancing quality education, professional excellence, and meaningful partnerships for the benefit of our students and the communities we serve.

The CHTM would also like to extend its sincerest gratitude to our University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres for his unwavering support and undaunted leadership in guiding the institution to newer heights of academic excellence.

As a team, they took on the challenge of preparing a 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞, with a total of six plates to complete within just 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫—𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. Behind their successful performance was months of preparation, practice, and dedication to refining their dishes, techniques, portions, timing, and presentation.

For Ms. Anne, competing in the Philippine Culinary Cup for the first time was both a challenging and rewarding experience. More than showcasing culinary skills, the competition highlighted the importance of 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞.
