The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Dr. Christopher Marlowe A. Caipang, who has earned a place among the World's Top 5% Scientists in the 2025 SciRank Global Registry following a rigorous bibliometric evaluation.

The 2025 Global Scientist Index assessed the scholarly impact of over 8 million active researchers and 20 million research publications indexed in OpenAlex, the world's largest open-access research database. Certification is conferred only on researchers whose Normalized Composite Score places them within the top five percent worldwide.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to Dr. Caipang's unwavering dedication to scientific excellence, impactful research, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of global knowledge. He also serves as an inspiration to fellow scientists and aspiring researchers to pursue innovation, discovery, and excellence in research and development.

Dr. Caipang is currently the Director of the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in UPV.
