On 16 August 2026, from 0830H to 1130H, the OMSU Mamburao Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted the Orientation for the subject NSTP ROTC and the Continuation of Enrollment for Military Science 1 at the OMSU Mamburao Campus Gymnasium. The activity was attended by ROTC officers and first-year students who are aspiring cadets.
The activity commenced at 0800H with area preparation and polishing. At 0830H, the ROTC officers assisted and guided the first-year students to their designated seats. The program formally began with the introduction of the advance cadets, from the Battalion Commander and Battalion Staff to the 2nd Class Cadets, Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs), and the ROTC Coordinator.
At 0900H, the ROTC Assistant Commandant 1LT RAJAH EZZA MAJED D CARUDIN (OS) PA, led the orientation. She discussed the two components of the NSTP subject, as well as the purpose, benefits, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with becoming an ROTC cadet. The activity provided the aspiring cadets with a better understanding of the ROTC program and what is expected of them as future members of the unit.
The sessions were conducted under the guidance of the GMA Instructors and supervised by LTC ZACARIAS DEXTER P. FOLLERO INF (GSC) PA, Commandant of the Unit, together with GERMILITO C. CUZON, CSP, OMSU Mamburao ROTC Coordinator.
The successful conduct of the activity marked another step toward building disciplined, responsible, and committed cadets ready to serve their school, community, and country. ๐ซก๐ต๐ญ
