‎Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures who fill our lives with love, strength, comfort, and endless sacrifices. 💗

‎Today, we celebrate the ilaw ng tahanan — our mothers, lolas, titas, adoptive moms, single moms, fur moms, mothers who are also teachers, the “mima ng lahat,” the “mother” sa Chinese garter, the tunay na tanging ina, our beloved “Mommy Oni,” at lahat ng naging ina, nagpaka-ina, at patuloy na nagiging ina para sa iba sa iba’t ibang paraan.

‎Para sa mga taong nag-aruga, nagmahal, nagsakripisyo, at naging tahanan ng iba kahit hindi madali, maraming salamat. Thank you for every sleepless night, every silent sacrifice, every comforting embrace, and every lesson taught with love.

‎This celebration is for every person who nurtures, protects, supports, and loves like a mother. by blood, by choice, by circumstance, or simply by heart.

Hindi bago ang laban ng mga le***ana. matagal nang may bakas ang mga le***an sa kasaysayan, kahit madalas silang itinatago o hindi kinikilala. Mula sa sinaunang panahon hanggang sa makabagong lipunan, may mga Lesbianang nagmahal, lumaban, at naglatag ng landas para sa kalayaan at pagkakapantay-pantay. 🌈

Sa buong mundo, naging bahagi sila ng mga kilusang panlipunan mula sa karapatang pantao, sining, edukasyon, hanggang sa politika. At sa Pilipinas, patuloy ang ambag ng mga le***an sa iba’t ibang larangan: bilang lider, g**o, artista, manggagawa, at aktibista na walang sawang ipinaglalaban ang dignidad at inklusibong lipunan.

Ang visibility ay hindi lang paglabas ito ay pag-angkin ng espasyo, boses, at kasaysayan. Dahil ang kwento ng mga le***an ay kwento ng tapang, pagmamahal, at pagbabago. 🧡

𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐘𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐆 | Legislative Committee on Gender Development and Sexual Health (LCGDSH)

Mariing kinokondena ng Legislative Committee on Gender Development and Sexual Health (LCGDSH) ang anumang anyo ng red-tagging at paninira laban sa mga organisasyon at indibidwal na nagsusulong ng karapatang pantao, gender equality, at sexual health.

Ang ganitong mga gawain ay hindi lamang naglalagay sa panganib sa kaligtasan ng mga aktibista at organisasyon, kundi malinaw ding paglabag sa mga pangunahing karapatan na nakasaad sa 1987 Philippine Constitution, partikular ang kalayaan sa pamamahayag, organisasyon, at mapayapang pagtitipon.

Binibigyang-diin din namin na ang red-tagging ay kinilala bilang banta sa buhay, kalayaan, at seguridad ng tao, na labag sa mga prinsipyong nakapaloob sa Universal Declaration of Human Rights at sa mga obligasyon ng estado na igalang, protektahan, at tuparin ang karapatang pantao.

Dagdag pa rito, sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 11313, tungkulin ng lahat ng institusyon na tiyakin ang ligtas na espasyo laban sa anumang uri ng harassment, pananakot, at diskriminasyon—kabilang ang online at political harassment gaya ng red-tagging.

Kinikilala rin ng Commission on Human Rights na ang red-tagging ay may seryosong implikasyon sa karapatang pantao at maaaring magbunga ng karahasan laban sa mga indibidwal at grupo.

Sa kontekstong ito, nananawagan ang LCGDSH sa lahat ng sektor—lalo na sa mga institusyon ng edukasyon, pamahalaan, at lipunang sibil—na:

• Igalang ang karapatan sa malayang pagpapahayag at organisasyon;

• Itigil ang mapanganib at walang basehang red-tagging;

• Panagutin ang sinumang gumagamit ng kapangyarihan upang manira at manakot;

• Protektahan ang mga estudyante, lider, at aktibista na patuloy na lumalaban para sa katarungan at pagkakapantay-pantay.

Ang pakikibaka para sa gender development, sexual health, at karapatang pantao ay hindi krimen—ito ay isang lehitimong bahagi ng demokratikong lipunan.

Ipanawagan ang hustisya. Ipaglaban ang karapatan.

Mariing pinaninindigan ng Legislative Committee on Gender Development and Sexual Health ang dignidad, kaligtasan, at karapatan ng bawat indibidwal sa ating komunidad.

Mahigpit naming tinututulan ang anumang uri ng face at body shaming o anumang anyo ng pambabastos at karahasan—sa loob man o labas ng pamantasan. Ang pahayag na ito ay naglalayong itaguyod ang proteksyon at kapakanan ng lahat ng indibidwal na nakararanas ng panlalait, diskriminasyon, at hindi makatarungang pagtratobatay sa kanilang pisikal na anyo o personal na katangian.

Ang ganitong mga gawain ay maaaring maganap sa pamamagitan ng salita, kilos, o sa mga digital at online na plataporma. Hindi ito katanggap-tanggap kahit pa ito ay ipinapasa bilang biro, sapagkat ang mga ganitong pahayag ay may direktang epekto sa dignidad, kumpiyansa, at kalusugang pangkaisipan ng isang tao.

Bakit hindi ito pinahihintulutan?

• Paglabag ito sa likas na dignidad at karapatang pantao
• Nagdudulot ito ng emosyonal at sikolohikal na pinsala
• Nagpapalaganap ito ng hindi ligtas at hindi inklusibong kapaligiran
• Pinatitibay nito ang kultura ng diskriminasyon at pang-aabuso

Ipinaaalala rin namin na ang mga ganitong gawain ay may kaakibat na pananagutang legal sa ilalim ng mga umiiral na batas sa Pilipinas:

• Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act o Bawal Bastos Law)
• Republic Act No. 10627 (Anti-Bullying Act of 2013)
• Republic Act No. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act)
• Republic Act No. 9710 (Magna Carta of Women)

Hinihikayat namin ang sinumang nakararanas o nakasasaksi ng face at body shaming o anumang uri ng pambabastos at karahasan—mula man sa kaibigan, kaklase, g**o, o sinuman—na agad magsumbong at humingi ng nararapat na tulong.

Sa mundong puno ng pagkakaiba, pinipili naming maging ligtas na espasyo para sa lahat. Walang iwanan, walang apakan. 🌈

Ang respeto ay hindi pinipili, ito ay para sa lahat.

April 6, 2026 | kinikilala at ipinagdiriwang ng Legislative Committee on Gender Development and Sexual Health ang lakas, identidad, at karapatan ng ating mga asexual na kapatid.

Ang pagiging asexual ay hindi isang “phase” o kakulangan. Ito ay isang lehitimong identidad na nararapat igalang at pahalagahan. Sa isang lipunang patuloy na natututo tungkol sa iba’t ibang anyo ng pagmamahal at pagkatao, mahalagang tiyakin na walang naiiwan, walang nabubura, at walang napapatahimik.

Bilang bahagi ng , patuloy kaming naninindigan para sa isang pamantasan na ligtas, inklusibo, at may paggalang sa lahat. Anumang kasarian o sekswalidad.
