SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN THE ENTIRE CITY OF MANDAUE

Relative to Proclamation No. 922, s. 2020 of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines due to the national threat and confirmed local transmission cases of COVID-19, and pursuant to Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 209-2020 declaring a state of emergency preparedness in the City of Mandaue,

As the mayor of Mandaue City, I, hereby declare the suspension of classes and all school activities in all levels of public and private schools in the entire City of Mandaue starting today, March 13, 2020 until further notice.

This is part of Mandaue City’s precautionary measures against the threat of COVID-19.

Also, citizens are further advised to practice daily preventive measures such as frequent hand washing, use of alcohol-based sanitizers, covering of mouth with tissue while coughing or sneezing, refraining from touching one’s face, staying at home when sick, seeking medical assistance during manifestation of symptoms, getting enough sleep, social distancing and eating a well and balanced diet.

AMIHAN CONTINUES: The surge of the northeast monsoon induced cold mornings again, especially for Northern Luzon!

Baguio City recorded its lowest temperature for this year at 10.0°C, while most of the stations in Northern Luzon recorded below 20°C.

Here in Metro Manila, our lowest temperature this morning at 21.2°C, though relatively warmer than what we had in early February.

Enjoy the "cold" weather while it lasts! We might be transitioning to the warm and dry season within the next few weeks.
