De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Tourism Management Program Chairperson Frederick Ang noted that infrastructure remains a persistent challenge that hinders the country's full tourism potential.
“Investments should prioritize airport modernization, integrated transport systems connecting gateways to tourism sites, smart tourism technologies, environmental sustainability, and workforce development that prepares professionals capable of managing increasingly sophisticated tourism systems,” he said.
"The Philippines has every opportunity to become a leading tourism destination in Southeast Asia," he added. "Our natural beauty has never been in question. The challenge now is ensuring that the journey is just as memorable as the destination itself."
