Participants were given the opportunity to perform the procedures themselves as they applied the lessons discussed during the seminar and learned proper ways to assist and safely handle a person during an emergency.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | Yesterday, Sept. 26, The Arellano University Nursing Society (AUNS) launched its first-ever event, โ€œ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐–๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก,โ€ at Rizal Hall 205โ€“207, bringing together participants for a series of discussions and demonstrations on basic emergency response.

๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—”๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ค. ๐——๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜€, ๐— ๐——, ๐— ๐—›๐—”, ๐— ๐—ฃ๐—”๐—›๐—˜๐——๐— , ๐—™๐—ฃ๐—ฆ๐—ฉ, ๐—–๐—™๐—ฃ, underscored the importance of Basic Life Support (BLS) training and encouraged participants to ensure that at least one member of every family is equipped with basic knowledge of CPR and other life-saving interventions.

The seminar also featured ๐— ๐—ฟ. ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—™. ๐——๐—ฒ ๐—ฉ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ, ๐—ฅ๐—ง๐—ฃ๐—ง,who led discussions on Foreign Body Airway Obstruction Management and Emergency Handling, Lifting, and Positioning Techniques, focusing on proper ways to assist individuals experiencing choking and other emergency situations.

The event highlighted the importance of being prepared to respond during emergencies, equipping participants with practical knowledge that can be applied even outside healthcare settings.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž | The Level 4 โ€“ Section 4 Nursing students concluded a week-long seminar today, Sept. 25, with โ€œKidneys Under Pressure: Young Adults Turning to Dialysisโ€ at Rizal Hall 205โ€“207.

The seminar focused on kidney health prevention, raising awareness about kidney-related risks among young adults, and possible ways for early intervention.
Mr. Leonardo C. Bagus II, RN, MAN, Head and Training Designate Nurse III of the Hemodialysis Unit at QMMC, served as the resource speaker. He shared valuable insights on kidney health, prevention, and the importance of early intervention.
