𝗣𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗

Bilang suporta sa posisyon ng Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas, ipinapahayag ng UST College of Science ang matinding pag-aalala nito sa panukalang pagtanggal ng 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆, at mga General Education electives sa binagong General Education Curriculum. Mahalaga ang mga kursong ito sa paglinang ng 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗸𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝗶𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗽, 𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼, 𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶, 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 ng mga mag-aaral. Kinikilala rin ng Kolehiyo ang 𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗸𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝘆𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮. Naniniwala kami na hindi sapat na natutugunan ng mga panukalang interdisciplinary GE courses ang mga pangunahing kasanayang kasalukuyang nalilinang sa umiiral na science-oriented GE courses. Magalang naming hinihiling ang mas malawak na konsultasyon at mga repormang magpapalakas — at hindi magpapahina — 𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗼, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗼, 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻.
