It's Charlotte, Biologists!
She's gonna give you more of her "HelicAlanine" posing as she confidently stand in helix shape with this y2k alanine-inspired look. Alanine, being the source of energy, by making proteins, she is giving y2k energy!
From the bottom up, we are looking at the physical structure of DNA—the nucleic acid double helix—embedded on her right leg; and, on the left, is the chemical structure of alanine itself!
When we say denim, it gives us the color of blue, same as Alanine under the process of chromatography! How cool is that? And do you know that denim is a staple material in y2k fashion? So this look is straight from the denim wardrobe—from the jeans to the corset, and even the DIY braided choker—while the inner-wear is a laboratory coat to give a touch of new genes in a biology major that transcribes vision and translates dreams.
This nostalgia y2k trend will never be complete without zigzag parts and colorful hairclips partnered with fluffy blowouts for a more sophisticated and fun look. The colorful braids, twisted with colored hair strips resemble a twisted ladder in a helix-like shape which shows the helical structure of DNAs. Wait, there's more! To complete the alanine-inspired look, rhinestones were added to the hair and face as they represent the proteins made by Alanine!
Watch her get the hype, boy, as we celebrate Bioweek 2023, with the theme "NEW GENES: Translating Visions, Transcribing Dreams"
