Maligayang Araw ng mga Ama! Sa lahat ng ating Kapatid na Mason, nawa'y mapuspos ng pagmamahal at kagalakan mula sa inyong pamilya ang araw na ito.

Ginugunita natin ngayon ang halaga ng papel ng isang ama sa pagbubuo ng matibay na pundasyon, na kahalintulad ng ating pagsusumikap na humubog ng magandang pagkatao at bumuo ng isang komunidad sa loob ng ating kapatiran. Ang mga Mason ay naninindigan bilang mga huwaran, nagtuturo nang may karunungan, at nagmamahal nang buong puso.

This June 12th, as we celebrate the 127th Philippine Independence Day, let's remember the profound and often understated role played by Freemasonry in achieving our nation's freedom.
While many heroes are celebrated, it's crucial to acknowledge the foundational work of The Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Philippine Archipelago. Long before the open cry for independence, Masonic lodges served as clandestine meeting places for patriots and intellectuals. Within their walls, the ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity – core tenets of Scottish Rite Masonry – were nurtured and disseminated, inspiring a generation to dream of a free Philippines.

Many of our national heroes, including Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, and Apolinario Mabini, were prominent Masons. Their commitment to these ideals, honed within their lodges, directly fueled their revolutionary fervor and shaped the very principles upon which our republic was founded.

As true Masonic brethren with rough and smooth ashlars, we understand the journey of building. In Freemasonry, the rough ashlar symbolizes us in our natural, unpolished state – full of potential but still in need of refinement. The smooth ashlar, or perfect ashlar, represents the stone that has been shaped, smoothed, and prepared by the workman, ready to be placed in the building. It symbolizes the state of perfection and moral uprightness we strive for through our labors in the Craft.

Our Independence Day celebration reminds us, as true Masons, to be of greater stand on humility and perseverance. Our great heroes guided us to nurture the bright light that pushes us to leap and look forward to the better future of our lodge. Just as our Hermano Dimasalang gave hope to Filipinos, especially the next generation, to stand tall and strive for a better future!

So, as we raise our flags and commemorate this historic day, let's also pay tribute to the silent but significant contributions of Masonry, and the enduring legacy of The Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Philippine Archipelago, in paving the way for the independent nation we proudly call home today.

Sa kagalang-galang na araw na ito ni Andres Bonifacio, ang Supremo ng Katipunan, bigyang-pugay natin ang kanyang hindi natitinag na pangako sa mga mithiing Mason ng Kalayaan, Pagkakapantay-pantay, at Kapatiran.

Kinatawan ni Andres Bonifacio ang diwa ng Kalayaan, walang humpay na nagsisikap na makawala sa tanikala ng kolonyal na pang-aapi. Sinindihan niya ang apoy ng rebolusyon, na nagbigay inspirasyon sa kanyang mga kapwa Pilipino na bumangon laban sa paniniil at ituloy ang kanilang likas na karapatan sa sariling pagpapasya.

Ipinaglaban ni Bonifacio ang prinsipyo ng Pagkakapantay-pantay, na nag-iisip ng isang bansa kung saan ang bawat indibidwal, anuman ang kanilang background o katayuan sa lipunan, ay maaaring magtamasa ng pantay na karapatan at pagkakataon. Naniniwala siya sa likas na dignidad ng bawat tao, na nagtataguyod para sa isang lipunan kung saan nanaig ang katarungan at katarungan.

Inihalimbawa niya ang Kapatiran, na nagtaguyod ng pakiramdam ng pagkakaisa at pagkakapatiran sa mga miyembro ng Katipunan. Kinilala niya na ang tunay na lakas ay nakasalalay sa sama-samang pagkilos, at sa pamamagitan ng hindi natitinag na pagkakaisa, ang Katipunan ay naging isang mabigat na puwersa para sa pagbabago.

Habang ginugunita natin ang pamana ni Andres Bonifacio, kumuha tayo ng inspirasyon mula sa kanyang hindi natitinag na pangako sa mga prinsipyo ng Masonerya. Pagsikapan natin na isama ang Kalayaan sa ating mga aksyon, na nagsusulong ng kalayaan sa pag-iisip, pagpapahayag, at pagsasamahan. Itaguyod natin ang Pagkakapantay-pantay sa ating mga pakikipag-ugnayan, pagtrato sa lahat ng indibidwal nang may paggalang at dignidad, anuman ang kanilang pagkakaiba. Linangin natin ang Kapatiran sa ating mga komunidad, pagyamanin ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan para sa ikabubuti ng lipunan.

Ang buhay ni Hermano Sinukuan ay nagsisilbing tanglaw ng pag-asa, na nagpapaalala sa atin na sa kabila ng kahirapan, makakabangon tayo at makalikha ng mas makatarungan at pantay na mundo. Igalang natin ang kanyang pamana sa pamamagitan ng pagsasakatuparan ng mga mithiin ng Masonerya. Kalayaan, Pagkakapantay-pantay, at Kapatiran sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay.

The word "hermano" is Spanish for "brother." In the Masonic world, it is used as a term of address for a fellow Mason. It is a way of acknowledging the bond of brotherhood that exists between Masons.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani! Ito ay araw upang gunitain ang mga sakripisyo ng ating mga bayaning nakipaglaban para sa ating kalayaan at kasarinlan.

Alalahanin natin ang kanilang katapangan at determinasyon, at patuloy tayong magsikap na bumuo ng isang mas magandang Pilipinas para sa lahat. Bilang mga Mason, pag tulungan nating itaguyod ang mga mithiin ng kalayaan, pagkakapantay-pantay, at kapatiran.

Magtulungan tayo upang maisakatuparan ang mga mithiing ito para sa lahat ng Pilipino.

Mabuhay ang mga bayani ng Pilipinas!
