On June 27, 2026, our first-year students, accompanied by Sir Reynald Sy, attended the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education, Inc. (FUSE) Monthly General Assembly at the FUSE Learning Center for Teachers (FUSE-LCT) in Ermita, Manila.
The assembly brought together seasoned educators and academic professionals, featuring an insightful lecture on "๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ข๐๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐" ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฟ. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ ๐. ๐๐น๐ผ๐ป๐๐ผ of the University of the Philippines Diliman and the Founding Dean of Mater Dei Academy College in Santa Maria, Bulacan.
In her talk, Dr. Alonzo emphasized that teacher credibility significantly influences student outcomes, noting that it is ultimately the students who determine whether a teacher is credible. She explained that teacher credibility is built on four essential components: ๐ง๐ฟ๐๐๐, ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐๐๐ป๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐๐บ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐. By cultivating these qualities, educators can foster meaningful teacher-student relationships that inspire engagement, strengthen learning, and positively impact student achievement.
