🩸 TRISKELION 595 – Bloodletting Activity

✅ Requirements for Blood Donation:
1.Age: 16–65 years old
• 16–17 yrs old – with parental consent
• Up to 60 years if first time donor
• Up to 65 years if regular donor
2.Weight: At least 50 kg (110 lbs)
3. Acceptable blood pressure: 90/60 up to 140/90 mmHg.
4. Acceptable heart rate: 60-100 bpm
5. Acceptable only 1 year after procedure:
a. Those with tattoo & body piercing
b. Those who underwent surgical and dental procedure
6. Acceptable only after 6 months:
a. If he/she travelled to Malaria endemic areas in the Philippines
7. Must have 6-8 hours’ sleep
8. No intake of alcoholic beverages within 12-24 hours prior to donation
9. No cigarette smoking or v**e within 4 hours prior to donation
10. A hypertensive can donate if with controlled blood pressure
11. A diabetic can donate if blood sugar level is well controlled by diet or oral hypoglycemic
medication. If donor is taking insulin do not donate blood.
12. If taking pain reliever defer for 48 hours
13. If taking aspirin, defer for 5 days
14. If taking antibiotics defer for 2 weeks
15. If with cough and colds, fever or flu, DEFER for 1 week
16. If with anti-rabies, anti-tetanus vaccine, DEFER for 1 year from the date of vaccination
17. If with open wounds, rashes, lesions, mouth sores, sore throat, DEFER until it heals
18. If using product with tretinion, do not donate
19. If under anti-epileptic drugs, do not donate. If using IV glutathione defer for 1 year.
20. If he/she underwent blood transfusion, DEFER for 1 year from date of procedure.

In partnership with the Philippine Blood Center, Triskelion 595 is enjoining everyone to a blood letting drive with a theme of “One Bag, One Life”
The program aims to provide residents of Barangay 595 who are in dire need of blood and to support the Philippine Blood Center objective in ensuring adequate and safe blood supply.
Accordingly, 30% of the total donations shall be allocated to our residents with the remaining bags to be preserved at the Center's reservoir.
Blood, being our source of energy moving forward, let us share this fuel to those who are running empty.
We are humbly seeking your support in this endeavor.
