The 248th NROTCU–PMMS Manila executed for outstanding participation in the Local Annual General Tactical Inspection (LAGTI).

On 08 April 2026, at HNRCen-NCR Intramuros, Manila, our formation stood resolute among 14 fellows units during the ceremony, commanded by MGEN DOROTEO JOSE M JALANDONI PN(M), Naval Reserve Command. His commendation affirmed our unyielding dedication and warrior grit.

Corps Commander M/CAPT JHUSTIN JIAN C GALAPIA 1CL of the 248th NROTCU–PMMS Manila, flanked by training staff and PMMS Manila School Staff Ms. MIKO BULALAQUE ROSENTO, received the honors—embodying our cadre’s forged unity and relentless drive to elevate excellence.

The 248th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit (NROTCU) steadfastly upholds elite standards of academic excellence and military training for the cadets of the Philippine Merchant Marine School, forging competence, iron discipline, high morale, and uncompromising professionalism.

On 05 and 08 March 2026, the 248th NROTCU–PMMS Manila conducted its Local Annual General Tactical Inspection (LAGTI) under the guidance of the Commandant- CDR ANECITO B LUMANTAS PN(GSC), alongside the training staff and midshipmen officers. The inspection team was headed by LCDR LOUIE M VILLANUEVA PN.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Assemble and Disassemble
Map Reading
Comprehensive Examination
Heaving Line Throwing
Raid and Ambush

These rigorous drills honed core naval tactics, technical proficiency, and unit cohesion and essential for operational readiness. Moments like these fuel the relentless drive to shape battle hardened and mission-ready maritime warriors of the PMMS Manila.
