DCEP ALUMNI REPRESENT DLSU AT RANZCP 2026 IN NEW ZEALAND! 🇳🇿 🌏 ✨

Our very own Dr. Estesa Xaris Legaspi and Dr. John Jamir Benzon Aruta represented De La Salle University at the 2026 Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) New Zealand Conference in the scenic Bay of Islands, New Zealand last October 14, 2026!

They presented their co-authored research titled:
"From translation to co-design: cultural adaptation of the online support and intervention (OSI) for child anxiety in the Philippines"

This study—part of the global GLOW-CAT initiative—highlights evidence-based, culturally adapted digital mental health interventions tailored to support Filipino children and families.

Reminding ID 126 undergraduate students that the Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC College of Education will hold the Frosh Convocation AY 2026-2027 this October 14, 2026 (Wednesday).

Registration will begin at 2:30 PM, while the program will start at 3:00 PM at the Natividad Fajardo-Rosario Gonzalez Auditorium, 18th Floor of the Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall.

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟰 - 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

As BAGCED concluded its National Teachers’ Month celebration last October 3 (Saturday), participants gathered in a hybrid event led by Associate Dean, Dr. Philip Rentillo. The celebration featured two insightful talks on Zoom and at the Multi-purpose Hall, 20F Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall.

The first session, led by Dr. Henry Leen A. Magahis of the Schools Division Office of Pasig City and part-time faculty of the DLSU Departamento ng Filipino, provided an overview of DepEd’s Expanded Career Progression (ECP) System, emphasizing how teachers can strategically plan their professional growth, document their accomplishments, identify areas for development, and navigate pathways for career advancement. The discussion reinforced the idea that career progression is a continuous journey rooted in professional excellence, accountability, and a commitment to improving learner outcomes.

The second session, facilitated by Dr. Jasper Vincent Q. Alontaga, explored how Generative Artificial Intelligence is reshaping teaching and learning through a fresh perspective on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Participants examined how AI can be integrated meaningfully into instruction, moving beyond content generation to promote critical thinking, creativity, reflection, and higher-order cognitive skills. The session challenged educators to reimagine classroom practices and assessment strategies in an increasingly AI-enabled learning environment.
