UP Manila Catholic Students' Community

UP Manila Catholic Students' Community UP Manila Catholic Students' Community (UP Manila Campus Ministry Office) The Sacraments are visible signs of invisible grace instituted by Christ himself.

In the Eucharist, in particular, we find the source and summit of our Christian Life from which we are invited to draw deeply. Therefore, among the primary duties of the Campus Ministry Office is to attend to the sacramental and pastoral needs of the UP Manila community through daily, weekend, and campus-wide Masses, retreats, faith communities, and spiritual direction. Objectives of the Campus Mi

nistry Office
The Office is also tasked to design and implement various programs and activities that facilitate spiritual growth and social awareness. These formation programs are geared towards developing leaders whose knowledge and appreciation of the Faith and of social issues lead them to become men and women for others, guided by the light of the rich teachings of the Church and the Magisterium. As a community that aims to grow in service towards the poor and those in distress, the Campus Ministry Office seeks to promote loving service through our various service programs. This service, which is rooted in love of Christ, the poor man of Nazareth, is to be lived out through a creative, bold, and empowering re-configuration that seeks the holistic development of the person being served. We aim to do these through programs and projects that are person-oriented and strategic, and implemented in close proximity to our Masters. The Ministry also aims to actively involve itself with the activities of the UP community through various community programs that are to be conducted regularly. These include Freshmen Welcome Programs, community clean-up programs, and participation in inter- and intra-University programs (such as the ACLE, Lantern Parade, etc.), among others. Finally, as an umbrella organization of Catholic student organizations, we aim to assure that all Catholic Christians in the University Community will find a community where they would feel they belong. These include opportunities for mentorship, guidance and counseling; Christian Life Communities; as well as spaces for the development of one’s talents.
