ADVISORY

In line with Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 131, suspending onsite or face-to-face classes in NCR and other affected regions due to inclement weather, classes at PWU Taft and PWU-JASMS Manila and Quezon City campuses shall shift to SYNCHRONOUS ONLINE modality tomorrow, August 20, 2026.

Work operations in all PWU and PWU-JASMS campuses shall shift to remote work arrangements. Except for essential Facilities and Maintenance Services, all campuses shall be closed. However, Faculty may still access the campus to conduct their online classes, with permission from the Office of the VP for Administration and their respective Academic heads.

The University shall continue to monitor the weather situation and issue further announcements as necessary.

UPDATE

In light of the Red Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA over Metro Manila as of 8:00 a.m. today, synchronous online classes at all levels in PWU and PWU-JASMS Manila are hereby suspended effective 12:00 noon today, August 19.

Faculty may assign asynchronous learning activities but are enjoined to exercise utmost leniency and refrain from requiring the submission of coursework until the weather situation improves.

Work-from-home arrangements for PWU and PWU-JASMS Manila shall continue as previously announced.

Except for essential Facilities and Maintenance Services, offices in all PWU and PWU-JASMS campuses shall remain closed.

Work operations in PWU and PWU-JASMS-Manila campuses shall continue via remote work arrangements. Except for essential Facilities and Maintenance Services, all campuses shall be closed.

Classes and Work Operations at PWU-JASMS Quezon City are suspended tomorrow in observance of Quezon City Day.

The University shall continue to monitor the weather situation and will issue further announcements as necessary.

In line with the announcements of the City Governments of Manila and Quezon City on Class Suspensions due to inclement weather, Classes in PWU Taft, PWU JASMS-Manila, and Quezon City shall proceed via ONLINE (Synchronous or Asynchronous) modality tomorrow, Aug. 11, 2026.

However, ALL CAMPUSES shall resume onsite work operations.

The University shall continue to monitor the situation and issue further announcements, if necessary.
