In consideration of the continuing effects of the recent flooding, leniency shall be extended to students who may still be unable to attend face-to-face classes due to flooded roads, inaccessible routes, or other unsafe conditions in their respective areas.

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁–𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (UE-ALS) Program celebrates 56 learners who completed their ALS education in SY 2025–2026, with several learners earning top recognition in the Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test.

Among the achievers were Rannie M. Corpuz, Jonathan Atutubo, Bryan M. Baranda, Anna Marie P. Cezar, and John Raymond L. David, who earned top rankings in their respective categories in Caloocan.

Established in 2024 through the UE-Caloocan ALS Resource Center, the program reflects UE's commitment to making education more accessible and providing meaningful opportunities for out-of-school youth and adult learners.

The initiative is led by the 𝗨𝗘 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 (OECO) under Dr. Rogelio I. Espiritu, with Dr. Katherine C. Guevarra as its conceptualizer and developer, together with dedicated partner ALS teachers from 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (ABES): Ms. Cyrinecris M. Hular, Mr. Lito D. Rosario, and Mr. Ronnie Macabare.

Yuki was welcomed by the 𝗨𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀–𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗻, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗛. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻. During his stay, he will take Tourism and General Education courses, immersing himself in the University's academic environment while experiencing Filipino culture and campus life.

This exchange program is part of the long-standing partnership between the University of the East and Soka University, reflecting both institutions' shared commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration, and meaningful cross-cultural learning opportunities for students.

The University of the East extends its best wishes to all examinees taking the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination (MELE)—especially the graduates of the UE College of Engineering Manila and Caloocan Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program—as they take this important step toward becoming licensed mechanical engineers.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will administer the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination nationwide, including the National Capital Region and 13 provincial testing centers, from August 7 to 9, 2026, with the results expected to be released on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The meeting was led by Mr. Leo Robert B. Viajar, Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, together with Head Coach Chris Gavina. It was spearheaded by UE Board of Trustee Mr. Wilson T. Young, also, the Chairperson of the UAAP Board of Managing Directors (BMD), who advocated the adoption of a Crisis Management Protocol across all UAAP member schools.

The initiative brought together the parents of the student-athletes in an open dialogue focused on strengthening trust, communication, and collaboration. During the session, parents were introduced to the coaching staff and players, given a virtual tour of the team's facilities, and updated on the University's academic, athletic, and student support programs to assure them that their children are well cared for both as students and as athletes.

Also present were Team Consultant Allan Caidic, UE Juniors Head Coach Paulo Hubalde, Volunteer Coach MC Luciano, and Danica M. Celario, Director of the Marketing and University Relations Department. The Red Warriors also extended their gratitude on the unwavering support of the UE Alumni Association, Inc. This signified the University's united commitment to building a strong support system for the Red Warriors.

The initiative underscores the University's belief that parents are invaluable partners in every student-athlete's journey and reflects the spirit of the UAAP Season 89 theme, . By fostering stronger connections among families, coaches, alumni, and the University community, the UE Red Warriors continue to build an inclusive culture where every student-athlete is supported, empowered, and inspired to succeed—both on and off the court.
