NUM - School Based NSRC Unit We are mandated to serve the people & the nation through volunteerism and social responsibility.

THE NUM-SBNU is an organization mandated by the R.A 9163 to promote and apply our mission to serve the people and the nation by espousing the spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility within and outside the NU community. WHO ARE WE?
-We are individuals who are currently enrolled at National University- Manila and graduates of NSTP who are trained, motivated and organized manpower reserve that can be tapped by the Stare for DRRM, civic welfare, literacy, national emergency, environmental protection and other similar endeavors in the service of the nation. As included in the Implementing Guideline and Procedures of NSRC, โ€œNUM- SBNU shall be responsible for the development, organization, training, administration and operation of the School-based NSRCโ€. Our vision is to produce graduates:
- With a high level of socio-cultural, economic, political and environmental consciousness, aware of the relevant and timely issues on civic welfare and nation-building.;
- That are active and sustained engagement in civic welfare and nation-building activities, equipped with adept skills, enabling competencies, right mindset and an attitude that is critical, creative, humble and liberating, and
- Who shares, instills, develop skills, competencies, right attitudes and values that rouse collective actions and empower the citizenry from nation-building and civic

It is with great honor and pride that we celebrate our senior SBNU-NUM member and Interim President, Ms. Alyssa Mae San Andres, for being recognized as the Nationalian Outstanding Student Volunteer Awardee at Gawad Bolunterismo 2026, held at the SMX Convention Center.

Your dedication, leadership, and genuine commitment to serving others embody the true spirit of volunteerism. This recognition is not only a testament to your hard work, but also an inspiration to the entire SBNU-NUM family.

Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo, alalahanin natin ang sakripisyo at katapangang ipinamalas ng ating mga bayani upang makamit ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa ngayon.

Sa panahon ng mga hamon, pagkakaiba-iba ng pananaw, at mga isyung kinahaharap ng ating lipunan, nawaโ€™y magsilbing gabay ang diwa ng kalayaan upang maging mas mulat, responsable, at mapagmahal tayo sa ating bayan. Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa nakaraanโ€”ito rin ay tungkol sa ating kakayahang manindigan para sa katotohanan, igalang ang dignidad ng bawat isa, at makiisa sa pagtataguyod ng isang mas makatarungan at mas maunlad na bansa.

Nawaโ€™y maging inspirasyon ang araw na ito upang patuloy nating gampanan ang ating tungkulin bilang mga mamamayang may malasakit, integridad, at pag-asa para sa kinabukasan ng Pilipinas.

Mabuhay ang kalayaan. Mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipino!

Ang araw na ito ay sadyang napakahalaga upang ipagdiwang ang lakas, kontribusyon, at pakikipaglaban ng bawat babae; lalo na sa mga aspetong pinipili silang maliitin at isantabi ang kanilang kakayahan.
