| A Solidarity Statement of PUP College of Arts and Letters Community (CAL) to free Palestine!
Our news screens were filled with hundred and thousand footages of horrors happening in Palestine. Israeli forces cutting the everyday necessities of Palestinians and bombarding the whole Gaza strip. It is evident that Zionism has something to do with ethnic cleansing as their only goal is to re-establish the Jewish nation with protection, disregarding the liberty to live of other people. An average rate of 250 people in Palestine were killed a day by Israel's military forces. Since October 07, 2023, approximately 35,000 Palestinians, including 15,000 children, have been killed and and roughly 7,000 were missing according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health– a clear proof of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.People’s moral minds cry out for justice–fighting and waiting for the continuous atrocities to cease.
Let our collective ache as we see the life of the innocent kids cut short in the crossfire of a brutal conflict, let the deafening sound of missiles destroying schools and hospitals be an additional factor to stand with Palestine; participate in the Boycott-Divest-Sanction movement and join protest for Palestine! Let us use that to fuel our burning desire for peace. To fight for everyone’s right and to use our voice to speak up for all the atrocities humanity is facing under the hands of its self-serving leaders.
We will never be free until Palestine is free!
