The PLM Teacher Education Society is an academic organization which is established to unite the whole community of the Department of Teacher Education. The PLM Teacher Education Society will help the whole community of the Department of Teacher Education to enhance the God-given talents of the students, to serve as a training ground for honest and responsible leadership, to

cultivate harmonious rapport among the stakeholders, to inculcate national consciousness and social responsibility, to help strengthen the foundation, and to nurture 21st-century educators.

Every March 8, we celebrate National Women’s Day, first declared by former President Corazon Aquino through Proclamation No. 224, and the whole month of March as a time to recognize the role of women in our history and society.

This Women’s Month, we honor the strength, courage, and contributions of women—from their silent sacrifices to their powerful voices in shaping our communities and our nation. At the same time, it reminds us that women deserve respect, dignity, and equal treatment in every space, especially from those who hold influence and authority.

Because women are not just part of history—

As a Junior Officer of the Academics and Research Committee, your words of wisdom and eloquence inspire us to stand for what is right. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 🚨

During this time of the year, you might notice the air a bit hotter than usual 🥵 The sunlight burns, you sweat more, and your handheld fan just can't seem to cool you down enough. It's not just you, it's the whole country!

Higher temperatures mean higher risk of fires! That is why in 1987, the month of March was officially declared as the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. Everyone is encouraged to take the necessary precautions to avoid fires:

⚠️ Never leave cooking unattended; keep cooking areas clean and clear of clutter.
⚠️ Avoid "octopus" wiring (overloading sockets), replace frayed cords immediately, and keep appliances unplugged when not in use.
⚠️ Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from flammable materials. Place candles in secure holders away from curtains and extinguish them before leaving a room.
⚠️ Store flammable liquids securely. Regularly check electrical wiring.
⚠️ Install smoke detectors on every level of the home and test them monthly. Create and practice a fire escape plan.

After a month of exploring in 𝐀𝐫𝐭-𝐢𝐊𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧: 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, the Social Studies majors have truly showcased their skill and prowess in the arts and humanities. Through their craft, they amplified messages of good governance, civic engagement, social responsibility, and nation-building.

As we end this celebration, may we be reminded of the important role of the social studies throughout our lives that goes beyond a monthly event. We are society; we are the creators of change.

These fundamental rights are so embedded in our lives today that sometimes we take them for granted. However, what if these rights are suspended and taken away by force to us? What would be its implications to our lives?

⚔ 40 years ago people answered this question. When a revolution happened and its lessons have etched itself in our history. When the people had enough of the 𝖐𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖘, 𝖆𝖗𝖇𝖎𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖗𝖞 𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖘, when the 𝖋𝖚𝖓𝖉𝖆𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖑 𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖘 𝖜𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖎𝖓𝖛𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖉𝖆𝖙𝖊𝖉, when the 𝖋𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖉𝖔𝖒 𝖔𝖋 𝖘𝖕𝖊𝖊𝖈𝖍 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖊𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖉, and many more 𝖆𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖈𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖘 that the people that time had endured accumulated over the years. It was answered with peace as people gathered in EDSA holding rosaries, where ordinary Filipinos, workers, professionals all gathered to protest for their right, for their Freedom.🗽
