𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗡𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗧. 𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗡𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗨𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗧.

On September 21, Filipinos remember the declaration of Martial Law in 1972, a defining chapter in the nation’s history that continues to shape how we understand freedom, truth, and our responsibility to one another.

Remembering does not mean staying in the past. It means carrying its lessons forward.

For the ICpEP.SE–NUC community, may this day remind us to value the freedom to learn, speak, create, and contribute. As future computer engineers and members of society, may we continue to seek truth, understand our history, and use what we learn to build a better future.

For our fellow CPEs: 𝗵𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 in electronics means the switching point depends on the direction of the input. In a comparator, it uses two trigger levels—the 𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 (𝗨𝗧𝗣) and 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 (𝗟𝗧𝗣)—to help prevent unwanted switching caused by noise.

From our 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟓 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 and 𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 to this year’s 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀, every entry brought its own story to the screen.
