Tinta ng Bayan, Tatak ng Kinabukasan. 🇵🇭✍️

Sa bawat marka sa balota, may dala tayong pangarap hindi lang para sa sarili, kundi para sa bawat Pilipinong naghihintay ng tunay na pagbabago.

Kaya't huwag basta-basta bumoto. Alamin ang plataporma. Alamin ang track record. Alamin kung sino talaga ang naglilingkod ng taos-puso, hindi ang naghahangad lamang ng puwesto.

Ang balota ay hindi basta papel ito ay boses ng bayan, kapangyarihang hawak natin sa ating mga kamay.

Bumoto ng matalino, bumoto nang matalino. Dahil ang bawat tama o maling desisyon, may kapalit na kinabukasan.

Sa loob ng school, may "Honor Code." Pinagpupuyatan natin ang bawat requirements dahil may mahigpit na standard bago tayo kilalaning kwalipikado.

Pero bakit pagdating sa pamunuan ng bansa, tila walang kahit anong requirement? Habang tayo ay dadaan sa butas ng karayom at hihingan ng sandamakmak na credentials bago makakuha ng trabaho, sapat na ang sikat na apelyido para sa mga nagpapatakbo ng bansa.🤯

Bago tayo payagang magmaneho sa kalsada, kailangan muna nating pumasa sa driving exam para iwas-aksidente. Ang lisensya ay patunay na may sapat tayong kaalaman at kakayahan.
Pero bakit pagdating sa pamumuno ng bansa, kung saan milyun-milyong buhay ang nakasalalay, tila walang kahit anong screening o credentials na hinahanap? Sapat na ba ang sikat na apelyido para hawakan ang manibela ng Pilipinas?

This Independence Day, let’s focus on the meaning of freedom in today’s world.
The bar for public service has been set very low for far too long— no minimum education, no psychological screening, no disqualification for those with pending criminal cases.

The result?
We have seen scandals of corruption, unqualified leaders and innocent people paying the price.

79% of senators, 90% congressmen, 34% of part-list representatives from political dynasties. The Philippines scored just 34 on the Corruption Perception Index. In 2025, over 100,000 people protested— because the system is always failing us.

We need more than just a name on a ballot to vote. We need educated, mentally stable and honest leaders running our country.

"Raise the Bar-yo", an advocacy that believes every Filipino, lalo na ang mahihirap, kabataan, at manggagawa, ay karapat-dapat sa mga lider na tunay na kwalipikado, mentally fit, at malinis ang rekord.

Ang totoo, walang minimum na educational requirement para sa mga kandidato, walang mandatory psychological screening, at walang mahigpit na disqualification para sa mga may kasong kriminal. Dahil dito, halos walang dinadaanan ang isang tao bago maupo sa pwesto ng kapangyarihan. Idagdag pa rito na 79% ng mga senador, 90% ng mga kongresista, at 34% ng mga partylist representative ay galing sa mga political dynasty (GMA News, 2022), habang ang Pilipinas ay nakakuha lamang ng 34 out of 100 sa 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index ika-115 sa 180 bansa (Transparency International, 2024). Ito ang bunga ng sistemang mababa ang pamantayan, kung saan ang mga hindi handa o may bahid ng korapsyon ay nakakaupo pa rin, habang ang pasanin ay dinadala ng mahihirap, ordinaryong manggagawa, at mga estudyante.

Hindi lang dapat sikat na pangalan. Hindi lang mayaman o well-connected.
