[Research fellow engagement]

On July 18–20, 2026, Prof. Paolo A. Bolaños, PhD., represented Kritike: An Online Journal of Philosophy, the official journal of the UST Department of Philosophy, at the 5th Annual Conference and Meeting of the Asian Journals Network (AJN), held in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the theme “AJN and AI: Promises and Perils.”

Prof. Bolaños presented his paper, “𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘐 𝘚𝘭𝘰𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯,” wherein he challenged AJN members to address the growing problem of AI-generated “slop” in academic publishing. The conference was hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada, Jakarta Campus.

On July 26-31, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dolores T. Andres, LPT, PhD, served as one of the presenters at the 37th International Society for Music Education (ISME) World Conference held in Montreal, Canada, representing the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, Music Education Department.

Assoc. Prof. Andres is an RCCAH research fellow under the Musicology - Research Interest Group.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dolores T. Andres, LPT, PhD, for her distinguished role as one of the presenters at the upcoming 37th International Society for Music Education (ISME) World Conference. On June 18–19, 2026, Asst. Prof. Anton Heinrich L. Rennesland, PhD and Mr. Jessie Joshua Z. Lino, M.A. presented papers during the John Paul II Conference 2026 with the theme, “Emerging Technologies and Nature: Philosophical and Theological Perspectives in the Thought of John Paul II and Beyond,” held at the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.
