COED HIGHLIGHTS: Chief Rivera Serves as a Resource Speaker in a Community Extension Training

The PUP College of Education proudly commends Asst. Prof. John Amiel A. Rivera, Research and Extension Chief of the College of Education and faculty member of the Department of Secondary Education, for serving as a Resource Speaker at the Community Extension Faculty Capacity-Building Program titled “From Concept to Action: Designing and Implementing Effective Community Outreach and Extension Programs,” organized by the University of Caloocan City earlier today.

Through his expertise and insights in community engagement, extension program development, and project implementation, Asst. Prof. Rivera shared valuable knowledge and practical strategies that empowered faculty participants to design responsive, sustainable, and impactful extension initiatives that address the needs of their respective communities.

His invitation to speak at this significant capacity-building program is a testament to his commitment to excellence, leadership in extension work, and dedication to advancing meaningful partnerships that bridge academic institutions and communities.

PUP Partners with DepEd SDO San Juan for the ARAL Program

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), through the College of Education, partnered with the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of San Juan City for the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program Orientation, held today, September 25, 2026, at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center.

A total of 69 tutors participated in the orientation, focusing on strengthening learners’ foundational skills in reading and numeracy.

This initiative marks a significant step toward addressing learning gaps and ensuring that learners receive the necessary support to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills and achieve academic success.

Through this partnership, PUP and DepEd SDO San Juan reaffirm their shared commitment to providing inclusive, accessible, and meaningful learning opportunities for every learner. The active involvement of tutors, teachers, schools, and partner institutions highlights the importance of collaboration in advancing quality education and ensuring that no learner is left behind.
