🎊 Congratulations to the CAS Student Presenters at the 21st Science and Technology Week! 🎊
Yesterday, three groups of CAS students presented their research at the UP Manila 21st Science and Technology Week, held at the 7F Plenary Hall, Henry Sy Sr. Medical Sciences Building.
With the theme “Siyensya at Serbisyong Bayan: Nagkakaisang Komunidad para sa Kalusugan,” students from Development Studies and Behavioral Sciences shared their research and experience working in the MAGNAMARTE partnership under the UP Manila Community Health and Development Program.
Each presenter showcased their rich community engagement rooted in public service and research anchored in empathy and humanity. Each of their research continues to expand the depths and lengths of health sciences by showing how culture, community participation, and local realities shape effective and lasting social impact.
Their studies remind us that improving health goes beyond clinical interventions. It requires understanding the socio-economic conditions we live in, the cultures that shape our behaviors, and the systems that influence our access to care. The pursuit of better health is inseparable from the struggles and efforts of other sectors, an ongoing collective fight for a more equitable society.
