Benilde FDM in Material and Motion: The FAMPH x PTRI Learning Experience! 🧵

Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) students took part in immersive industry learning sessions at SPATIO, Opus Mall, exploring local textile innovation, creative direction, and hands-on styling.

The Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) presented insights on local textile research and sustainable fabrics, followed by a specialized beauty and makeup workshop led by Christian Dior Beauty Consultant Carmel Villongco.

Another highlight of the event was the Live Styling Challenge, where student groups were mentored by fashion stylist Randy Capinpin before executing their styling concepts using SPATIO apparel and Fashion Accessory Makers of the Philippines | FAMPH Collective accessories.

Present at the event were Benilde FDM Chairperson Ionica Lim, FAMPH President Gina Nebrida Ty, representatives from SPATIO and PTRI, and other distinguished fashion industry leaders.

IN FOCUS: BENILDE BREAKTHROUGH BATCH 4 💡✨

Our Benilde associates took center stage at the Innovation Project Showcase to share creative ideas and solutions designed to make a real impact on the Benildean community.

Among the project proposals put forward were a digital diagnostic exam portal, a trust-based borrowing hub, a web app for academic advising through teleconsultation, and a digital on-campus document service.

Congratulations to the winning team, BeniLoop, composed of Dr. Isagani Triste, Jenina Perez, Dr. Jennifer Fabula, Karl Salvador, and Tim Danielle Peña.

Present at the project showcase were Benilde Leadership Team members, including Brother-President Edmundo "Dodo" Fernandez FSC, Chancellor Benhur Ong, and Vice President for Administration and Innovation Michael Luis "Butch" Tecson III.

IN FOCUS: Adobe x Benilde 2026

De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, the first and only Adobe Creative Campus higher education institution in the Philippines, proudly hosted representatives from Adobe for a day of strategic discussions and student workshops.

Benilde leadership and Adobe executives discussed key partnership achievements, AI-powered teaching and productivity tools, global higher education trends, and future expansion opportunities.

Benildeans from various programs attended a talk by Adobe Singapore’s Senior Solutions Consultant Albert Goh and participated in a hands-on Adobe Express & Firefly challenge.

Representatives from Adobe included Head of Education for Southeast Asia Titu Minhas, Education Manager Eva Oei, and Adobe Customer Success Team Lead Divya Mittal.

In attendance from Benilde were Chancellor Benhur Ong, School of New Media Arts Dean Maria Sharon Arriola, Benilde Senior High School Principal Michael Lewis Ong, Multimedia Arts Program OIC Chairperson Brian Bringas, Photography Program Chairperson Brian Bravo, Chief Technology Officer Shirley Manubay, Network Systems Coordinator Joy Semana, and Benilde Marketing Center Director Marco Santiago.

"De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) is set to stage a reimagining of the classic Greek tragedy "Oedipus Rex."

"Titled "Rex," the production will run from November 12 to 22 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.

"The cast is led by Eula Valdez and Martin del Rosario, who reunite after appearing together in the acclaimed 2014 independent film "Dagitab."

"They are joined by professional actors B**g Cabrera, Sheryll Ceasico, Emilio Macabantad and EJ Jallorina, alongside student actors from the college's Theater Arts program."

Tickets are now open for those who want to watch REX, a play inspired by Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex.

As the Po family grapples with its ties to corrupt flood control projects, torrential rains leave more than a hundred dead and counting in the city of Tebes. In a desperate bid to escape prosecution and save their company, St. Paul the Apostle Constructions, the household unwittingly confronts a past long-buried yet bound to them all—a past that, once seen clearly, leads to tragedy. Based on Sophocles’ “Oedipus the King”, “Rex” reimagines the Greek classic against the urgent realities still plaguing our country.

Teachers’ Day Surprise 2026: Shaping Hearts Together was filled with laughter, appreciation, and moments that made it truly special.
And of course, who could forget the Jollibee Mascot? Seeing our teachers light up with the same excitement and joy as little kids was a reminder that happiness can be found in the simplest, most unexpected moments.
