The countdown continues as the University Student Government prepares for the upcoming USG Town Hall Session, a platform dedicated to strengthening students’ understanding of university governance, student representation, and the processes behind addressing student concerns.

In just three days, student leaders, ACSO representatives, class representatives, and interested students will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the USG’s functions, administrative and legislative processes, and its role in representing the student body.

The University Student Government invites student leaders, ACSO representatives, class representatives, and interested students to the upcoming USG Town Hall Session on October 19, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the CIT Glass Door.

Get to know the functions of the USG, understand its administrative and legislative processes, and learn how student concerns are received, documented, and brought to the attention of the appropriate University offices.

From request letters and resolutions to endorsements, coordination, and follow-through, discover the processes behind student representation and the work involved in addressing concerns within the University.

The TUP Manila invites all bona fide Technological University of the Philippines students to participate in the TUP 125th Logo Making Contest in celebration of the University's upcoming 125th Foundation Anniversary.

This contest calls on TUPians to showcase their creativity and design an official logo that reflects the University's legacy, identity, and continuing commitment to technical and technological education. Participants are encouraged to develop original concepts that embody 125 years of transforming lives, uplifting generations, and pioneering innovation.

𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
Open to all bona fide undergraduate and graduate students of TUP Manila, Cavite, Taguig, and Visayas campuses. Each student may submit only one entry.

𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦
• Must include “TUP” and “125.”
• Must reflect TUP's legacy, identity, innovation, and nation-building.
• Must be an original design without plagiarism or the use of stock graphics.

Entries must include a design rationale of up to 150 words and an AI declaration, along with sketches, drafts, or screenshots.

Following the application, screening, and evaluation process conducted by the University Student Government (USG) Committee on Appointments, the TUP Manila University Student Government formally announces the appointment of 𝗠𝘅. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗴 as 𝗖𝗔𝗙𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 and 𝗠𝘅. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼 as 𝗖𝗔𝗙𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 for Academic Year 2026–2027, pursuant to 𝗨𝗦𝗚 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟭𝟰, 𝘀. 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

These appointments fill the previously vacant leadership positions in the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) Student Council and restore its regular leadership structure. The selection process was conducted in accordance with the applicable provisions of the TUP Manila University Student Government Constitution and By-Laws and the established appointment procedures.

As duly appointed officers, both shall uphold the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions and serve as representatives of the CAFA student body. Their appointments also reinforce the importance of student representation, participatory governance, and meaningful engagement in university affairs.

The University Student Government recognizes the importance of filling leadership vacancies to ensure the continued representation of students and the effective functioning of their College Student Council.

The TUP Manila University Student Government joins the global observance of World Mental Health Day, celebrated every October 10, to promote mental health awareness, encourage open conversations, and reaffirm the importance of making mental health support accessible to everyone.

Mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being. we must recognize the importance of creating an environment where students can express their struggles, seek help without fear of judgment, and receive understanding and support.

Beyond this observance, we encourage every TUPian to practice empathy, respect personal boundaries, and remain mindful of the challenges others may be facing. A simple act of kindness, a sincere conversation, or the willingness to listen can help someone feel heard and supported.

You do not have to face every challenge alone. Reaching out for help is a sign of courage, and seeking support is a meaningful step toward caring for yourself. Let us continue to build a community that values mental well-being, promotes understanding, and makes space for everyone to feel safe, heard, and supported.

This World Mental Health Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of compassion, awareness, and collective care, because mental health matters every day.

𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝟲𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

The University Student Government of the Technological University of the Philippines convened on October 7, 2026, to finalize preparations for 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Allan Soria, in partnership with the college coordinators and the University Student Government. The body confirmed the event schedule for 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, addressed procurement concerns for jerseys and shirts, and set training schedules across colleges. Key agenda items included the Mr. and Ms. Pasiklaban competition, updated participant lists, and the finalization of game venues:

•Basketball – Court A
•Volleyball/Badminton – Court B
•Table Tennis – CIT Grounds
•Chess – Tool and Die Lab

The program will open with a parade and performances, followed by remarks from university officials and a guest speaker. Action items emphasized compliance with procurement demands, timely preparation of player waivers, and coordination of training schedules.

The training schedule is as follows OCTOBER:
• 16 - CAFA (morning) / CMMS (afternoon)
• 17 - CIE (morning) / COS (afternoon)
• 23 - COE (morning) / CIT (afternoon)
