COMMPENDIUM 2027: Navigating Mediated Realities and Cultural Truths.

Continuing its tradition of academic excellence, COMMPENDIUM stands as the prestigious research competition of the Department of Media and Communication, celebrating the research endeavors and scholarly pursuits of BA Communication students. 🏆

The competition begins with PRIMUS GRADUS, the first stage, happening on October 22–23, 2026, as fourth-year BA Communication students present their thesis proposals before the COMMPENDIUM Committee.

This initial stage accounts for 20% of the overall competition grade, marking a significant step in their journey toward research excellence.

As ideas take shape and new perspectives emerge, the pursuit of knowledge continues. Let the competition begin! 🎉

𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘—The Department of Media and Communication’s COMMversations Lecture Series returns this school year with a special session on voice acting and dubbing, featuring Mr. John Robert Camat, who shared his knowledge and experience in the industry.

Held yesterday at the COMM AVR, the session gave 3rd-year students taking up Radio Production a deeper understanding of the art, highlighting the skills needed to bring characters to life through the power of the voice.

Set in a quiet seaside community, the film follows Marco, a teenage boy who longs to learn swimming from his father while confronting the unexpected return of his estranged mother on his birthday. As buried family tensions surface, Marco’s desire for connection gradually becomes a painful realization of how the past has shaped his family—and himself.
