From June 9–12, 2026, selected Vatel Manila and BS-IHM students from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde's School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) proudly represented the Philippines at the 8th International Summer School hosted by Silpakorn University International College (SUIC) in Bangkok, Thailand. 🇹🇭💙

Together with students from partner institutions across Asia, our delegates embraced a week of cultural immersion, collaborative learning, and meaningful exchanges that celebrated diversity, strengthened global perspectives, and built friendships beyond borders. It was an unforgettable experience filled with learning, connection, and memories that will last a lifetime.

But as Corin Alaan, Summa Cum Laude speaker during the 2nd Term AY 2025-2026 Commencement Exercises, reminded everyone: The rest of your life ahead is still unwritten, so have the courage to write, rewrite dreams if needed, and stay true to who you are.💚

Corin graduated with a transnational double degree program - Bachelor of Science International Hospitality Management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, and a French degree - Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School.

Vatel Manila is proud to have been part of the SUIC 8th International Summer School 2026, where our students joined fellow participants from Thailand, China, and India for a week of cultural immersion, academic exchange, and meaningful collaboration.

23 May 2026 — Benilde has officially renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Vatel Nimes, France - Hotel & Tourism Business School. With this continued and strong partnership, our Benildean hospitality students get access to experience world-class, immersive training and international exposure right in Southern France. 🇫🇷 🇵🇭

Benilde was represented in the MOA renewal by members of its leadership team: President Edmundo “Dodo” Fernandez, FSC; Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Marco Lacson; and Dean of the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management Dr. Marie Paz Castro.

"For Samantha Mery Nangan, living alone in a foreign country meant learning how to manage things most people take for granted—buying groceries after class, doing her own laundry, and figuring out how to get through the week without the familiar rhythm of home.

The 24-year-old International Hospitality Management student from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde spent an academic term in Montenegro through the Marco Polo Program, an exchange initiative that allows students to train in partner Vatel campuses abroad."
