Engineering through Imagination and Research—Academic Society

Engineering through Imagination and Research—Academic Society EIR-AS is bounded by true friendship, and strengthened as a family and has been active for 40 years!

In 1981, a barkadahan of around twenty EE and ECE students (at that time, there was no COE course in MIT) from a class of the same section got a bright idea to form a group that will provide an academic upliftment for its members. They were recognized in September 23, 1981 the same year it was founded. EIR was recognized as the very first accredited organization under the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Engineering.
