The UST Guidance and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, is organizing a virtual Drop-in Support Session.

Take a moment to share, be heard, and better understand what you’ve been through. Together, we can find grounding, draw strength from one another, and nurture resilience as we move forward.

When heavy downpours turn into rising waters, the fear isn’t just about the rain—it’s the sudden loss of control, the isolation of being stranded, and the quiet shock that can linger even after the waters recede.

After an unexpected event, it’s okay to feel afraid, shaken, overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsettled. Sometimes, exhaustion runs deeper than the physical—it can weigh on us emotionally, too. You don’t have to brush these feelings aside, and you don’t have to carry them alone.

Our counselors have been reaching out and extending support to members of the Thomasian community affected by the recent events. To extend this support to more members of our community, the UST Guidance and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, is organizing a virtual Drop-in Support Service.

Take a moment to share, be heard, and better understand what you’ve been through. Together, we can find grounding, draw strength from one another, and nurture resilience as we move forward.

Register in advance for this session:
https://ust-edu-ph.zoom.us/meeting/register/GTdbc4EJTRC4mbtrv7JQpA

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

We rise stronger together—finding strength in the stories we carry, and in each other.

The UST-AMV College of Accountancy congratulates our alumnus, Mr. John Derick D. De Recto, MBA, MSDT, CMA, CSCA, CPHR on his appointment as Program Director of the Albay Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

CONGRATULATIONS, President DE RECTO!

The UST-AMV Accountancy Alumni Association, Inc. congratulates our President, John Derick D. De Recto, MBA, MSDT, (U.S.) CMA, (U.S.) CSCA, CPHR, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Batch 2019, on his appointment as Program Director of the Albay Institute for Artificial Intelligence, the first local government-led artificial intelligence institute in the Philippines.

The appointment places a Thomasian accountant at the helm of a genuinely historic undertaking. No local government in the country has built an institution of this kind before, and its creation through a municipal ordinance sets a precedent other LGUs are expected to follow. That a Thomasian accountant helps lead it speaks to what our College has always aimed to form: professionals whose competence extends beyond the profession and into the service of communities.

To our President, congratulations. The Association is proud to see Thomasian values carried into this work.

Mabuhay!

The Albay Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI4AI) is the Philippines' first local government-driven, LGU-led artificial intelligence institute. Officially inaugurated on October 27, 2025, in Polangui, Albay, this pioneering facility bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and community empowerment. Driven by a historic local municipal ordinance and supported by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), AI4AI equips students, entrepreneurs, and local virtual assistants with vital AI literacy, prompt engineering, and ethical tech skills. By integrating AI into local government services, agriculture, and public safety, the institute serves as a transformative blueprint for localized, inclusive technological innovation across the nation.

The UST-AMV Accountancy Alumni Association, Inc. joyfully congratulates Rev. Fr Marc Will Lim, SDB, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Batch 2005, on his appointment as Parish Priest of Saint John Bosco Parish in Tondo.

Our College forms professionals who are competent, compassionate, and committed. In Fr. Marc Will, those values found a different vocation, lived out in the Salesian charism of St. John Bosco and in service to the young.

Mabuhay ka, Father!
