𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 | On August 26, C*C held its 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 with the theme, “𝑪𝒀𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕: 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒚.” The assembly served as an avenue for members to learn more about the core of College Y Club, as well as to get acquainted with the different committees they could become part of. Each committee prepared creative skits and fun gimmicks to introduce their teams and encourage members to join. Through these presentations, members were given a glimpse of the unique roles, personalities, and experiences that each committee has to offer.

The assembly concluded with an insightful discussion led by Ms. Jannah Gwen C. Valenzuela, a researcher and advocate for Gender and Development and Comprehensive Sexuality Education. She highlighted three important values that leaders should embody: 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘯, 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦, at 𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘸𝘢-𝘵𝘢𝘰.

Beyond competence and skills, Ms. Valenzuela emphasized that leadership is also grounded in moral integrity and professionalism. A good leader knows when to stand firm while remaining compassionate and considerate toward others. Ultimately, leadership is not only about what one can accomplish, but also about how one leads with depth.
