[IN PHOTOS] 🎨 Storytelling through animation for social change! 🎬

As part of the Benilde Human Rights, Democracy, and Peace Festival 2026, the Benilde School of New Media Arts Benilde Animation Program hosted Animated Films for Human Rights on 25 September 2026, at the 12th Floor Digital Film Screening Room, DLS-CSB Design+Arts Campus.

Featured animated films included:
🎞️ Ang Paliwanag by Sophia Odulio
🎞️ Laban Jo by Dominic Zulueta
🎞️ Obligado by Diego Toledo

Following the film showings, the audience engaged in an insightful talkback session, moderated by Ms. Molly Velasco-Wansom, with the filmmakers, unpacking how art and animation serve as vital mediums for advocacy, truth, and human rights.

[IN PHOTOS] 🕯️ Seeking justice, remembering history, and praying for peace.

The Benilde Human Rights, Democracy, and Peace Festival 2026 commenced on 21 September 2026, with a Mass for Peace at the Chapel of Saint Benilde, The Atrium @ Benilde.

Co-organized by the Center for Social Action and the Benilde - Center for Lasallian Ministry, the Eucharistic celebration honored the heroes and martyrs who stood against the Marcos dictatorship and remembered the victims of the drug war. Joining the Benildean community were members of the ALPAS KP: Alyansa Para Sa Karapatang Pantao, representing families of EJK victims.
