On the day of September 21, 1972, Former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. declared Martial Law ( Proclamation No. 1081) in the country of the Philippines. Today, we commemorate its 53rd Anniversary— a night that is heavy and filled with fear and a period that tested our nation’s spirit and resilience.

May this day will always be a solemn reminder of the importance of safeguarding freedom, truth, and human dignity. As students, we must stand firm and ensure that such darkness will never return. Choose remembrance over forgetting, courage over silence, and truth over fear. 🕊️
