APEX was conceptualized with innovation in mind. The academy believes that learning is best optimized when students are engaged, involved and connected. With these in mind, APEX comes up with innovative training approaches yet with practical application in the real world. Business games and work- relevant challenges delivered in a boot camp- like atmosphere are conducted to build confidence, develop maturity and leadership, and promote creative thinking, personal excellence and entrepreneurial spirit. Digital video recording and playback of role plays and demonstration exercises provide instantaneous feedback and learning opportunities for both observers and participants. As a requirement for the completion of each course, students undergo an in-house assessment in order to validate their readiness to perform the required industry competency. These fresh approaches shorten the learning curve and enable future employers to save on training and immersion costs. Simulated Learning Environment
APEX is the first and only retail academy in the country featuring a βmock storeβ that provides a fully functional and realistic retail environment. The simulated boutique includes a glassed front window display area for visual display training, clothing racks, mannequins, various merchandise and a functioning POS check-out counter. The simulated store allows the students to immediately apply the acquired competencies in customer service, selling, cashiering, visual merchandising, inventory control, and other dimension of retail operations in a non-threatening and challenging learning environment. Students go through an actual demonstration of the newly learned skills and techniques using the available store props, modules and merchandise and are instantly given feedback for their performance. Our graduates can thus assure future employers of a direct match between skills and job and a shortened learning curve upon engagement.
