SPU Manila Holds Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl 2025
Dr. Lourna V. Tagay, Vice President for Academics and Research, delivered the opening remarks at a recent competition held at St. Paul University Manila (SPUM). The event brought together students from various colleges, showcasing their skills and talents in their respective fields.
The panel of judges included Ms. Ma. Regina L. Cachero, Former University Registrar of SPUM and currently head of Admissions and Systems Administration; Dr. Brian Bantugan, Chairperson of Communication Programs; and Ms. Judith Alderete, Coordinator of the Religious Education Program.
The competition yielded the following winners:
- Champion: College of Business and Management
- 1st Runner Up: College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences
- 2nd Runner Up: College of Music and Performing Arts
- 3rd Runner Up: College of Education and Liberal Arts
The Best Speakers award went to:
- Danielle R. Dizon, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English (College of Education and Liberal Arts)
- Patricia Anne M. De La Merced, Bachelor of Music in Technical Theater (College of Music and the Performing Arts)
- Zachary Matthew D. De Lara, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (College of Nursing and Allied Health Services)

The event was moderated by Prof. Jamie Manuel, faculty member of the CELA Department. The competition was organized by The Paulinian Debate Society, with Ms. Nenita Garcia-Brocoy serving as moderator. The event was emceed by Deneese Yankton, Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
