𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 | 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

The AdU-SHS SSG has received the Administration’s response to the concerns raised by the student body regarding the transition to on-site classes on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The Administration confirmed that:
• Face-to-face classes will proceed tomorrow, Wednesday.
• The Thursday schedule will be followed.
• Faculty members have been reminded to extend reasonable understanding and consideration regarding class tasks and submissions.

The SSG extends its appreciation to the Administration for considering the concerns raised by the student body. The SSG likewise thank the student body for trusting the SSG to bring their concerns forward through the proper channels.

On September 22, 2026, the Adamson University – Senior High School Supreme Student Government (AdU-SHS SSG) formally raised concerns with the Administration regarding the sudden shift from online to face-to-face classes for September 23, 2026.

The concerns raised by students primarily involved:
• Limited notice given for the shift to face-to-face classes
• Difficulties in preparing for transportation, academic requirements, and other responsibilities
• Considerations for students who may be unable to report to campus due to various circumstances

The schedule to be followed for September 23, 2026 has since been clarified, with Thursday–Friday (ThF) scheduling to be observed. Although this concern has been addressed, the SSG has formally forwarded the remaining concerns raised by the student body to the Office of the Academic Head (OAH) for proper consideration.

The SSG remains committed to voicing student concerns through proper channels and fostering clear communication between the student body and the Administration.

Further updates will be provided once an official response or decision is received from the Administration.

𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | The AdU-SHS Supreme Student Government on the 54th Commemoration of the Declaration of Martial Law

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟭, 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟮. 𝗔 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

The Adamson University - Senior High School Supreme Student Government (AdU-SHS SSG) stands with the Filipino people in remembering this significant day in our history. On this day, September 21, 1972, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the Philippines under Martial Law. What followed was a period that profoundly affected the lives of countless Filipinos and left a lasting mark on our nation.

Fifty-four years later, we remember the Filipinos whose lives were affected, the voices that were silenced, and those who continued to speak in the face of fear.

To remember is to recognize the weight of what happened, to listen to the stories of those who lived through it, and to understand why truth, freedom, and human rights must never be taken for granted.

We remember. We will never forget.

𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁.

Fifty-four years ago, on September 21, 1972, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the Philippines under Martial Law. What followed became one of the darkest periods in Philippine history—𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.

Under the dictatorship, institutions meant to hold the government accountable were gradually weakened. Congress was suspended, the country’s system of government was reshaped under the 1973 Constitution, and press freedom was heavily restricted, with 𝟰𝟲𝟰 media outlets shut down.

And let us not forget the people who lived through these years. Behind the historical accounts were thousands of Filipinos whose lives were forever changed. During the nine years of Martial Law, 𝟭𝟬𝟳,𝟮𝟰𝟬 primary victims of human rights violations were documented, including:

𝟳𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 people who were arrested
𝟯𝟰,𝟬𝟬𝟬 who were tortured
𝟯,𝟮𝟰𝟬 who were killed.

Beyond these violations, Filipinos also faced economic difficulties, rising national debt, and widespread concerns surrounding corruption and ill-gotten wealth.

As students and Filipinos, we must keep asking questions, seek out historical records, and listen to the stories of those who experienced this period firsthand. More importantly, let us understand why the rights and freedoms we have today must be protected.

As transportation remained accessible despite today’s transport strike , please be advised that face-to-face/ onsite classes will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

In addition, classes previously scheduled online for September 17,18, and 19, 2026 will also be conducted onsite.

This adjustment is made to accommodate the rescheduled Preliminary Examinations and to make up for laboratory classes following recent suspensions due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon .

In light of the United People’s Initiative projected rally and the possibility of monsoon rains, all classes in the BASIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (Preschool to Senior High School) will shift to 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 today, July 10, 2026.

Classes will be conducted via Schoology/BlackBoard following the regular class schedule. Faculty members will likewise observe a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement.
