Great news! The deadline for applications for the Soriano-Celo Undergraduate Research Grant has been extended until October 24, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

The UP College of Public Health is accepting applications from BSPH students currently enrolled in PH 192/199.

💡 This grant aims to support outstanding undergraduate research projects that advance the field of public health.

📄 Two (2) grants worth ₱25,000 each will be awarded:
• One (1) for the Medical Laboratory Sciences track
• One (1) for the Population Health track

In celebration of the National Mental Health Week and World Mental Health Day, the UP Manila College of Public Health held its October Flag Raising Ceremony on 12 October 2026 at the CPH Auditorium with the theme “Beyond Resilience: Building Healthy and Compassionate Systems and Communities”

Dr. Lester M. Tan, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health and Concurrent Director of the Health Promotion Bureau, shared an inspirational message that highlighted the importance of moving beyond individual resilience to foster healthy and compassionate systems and environments. Dr. Tan emphasized that sustainable mental health promotion is achievable by also focusing on the social determinants of health and by building supportive environments where everyone can thrive.

Hosted by the Department of Health Promotion and Education, the ceremony was a meaningful gathering for the community as we continue the work of building healthier and more compassionate spaces for all.
