DONATION UPDATE!

As of July 23, total donation hits ₱7,880.00 for the first day of “Saan aabot ang 50 pesos mo?” Let’s do it again for the last day of Sinemañanita happening this Sunday, July 26, 2020.

All the proceeds to Sinemañanita will be donated to Bangon Pilipino, a Community Organization founded by students from FEU that aims to help our fellow Filipino people.

As of July 2020, over 1000 families were given essential needs such as food packs, and hygiene kit. Let us help them raise funds to reach out more families across NCR. Help us spread the word by simply sharing this to your family and friends!

“Kapag mulat ka sa katotohanan, kasalanan na ang pumikit.”

Naglipana ang mga Aswang at walang pakundangan nilang pinapatay ang demokrasya sa Pilipinas! Sa gitna ng pandemya ay nauna pang ibasura ang aplikasyon ng ABS-CBN para sa bago nitong prangkisa. Samantala, sa kabila ng mariing pagkondena ng iba’t ibang institusyon ay paspasan pa ring isinabatas ang Anti-Terrorism Law. Sa lawak ng depinisyon nito ay kasamang maapektuhan ang industriya ng pelikula. Bukod pa rito, kontrobersyal din ang paglabas ng Joint Administrative Order ng FDCP, DOH, at DOLE. Sa lawak ng saklaw ng abiso ay may kalakip itong panganib sa malayang pamamahayag.

Kaugnay nito inihahandog ng FEU Film Society ang pinakamalaking selebrasyon ng taon, SINEMAÑANITA! Samahan ninyo kami sa isang makabuluhang diskusyon at ating himayin ang mga suliranin at bantang kaugnay ng mga bagong polisiyang umiiral sa bansa.

Handog din ng Sinemañanita ang mga pelikulang gawa ng FEU Film Society. Ano pang hinihintay mo? Save the date at maki-Sinemañanita na!

Ang mga sumusunod ay schedule ng tatlong bahagi ng ating selebrasyon:
Session 1: July 22, 2020 (Press Freedom in Survival Mode)
Session 2: July 24, 2020 (FDCP in advisory 6: An issue of monitoring that leads to control)
Session 3: July 26, 2020 (Anti-Terror law and its encompassing dangers on the freedom of speech in the Philippines)

Jet Leyco’s “Matangtubig (Town in a Lake)” won special mention in the AQCC-Camera Lucida award tilt of the recent 21st Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. American director David Lowery’s “A Ghost Story” won in this section.
