Established in 2012, the National University - PEER Facilitators is one of the recognized student organizations at National University - Manila. We, the PEER Facilitators, are a group of students who are Emotional First Aiders, Servant Leaders, and Mental Health Advocates; practicing confidentiality, and empathy to understand our co-Nationalians better. The functions as a PEER Facilitator are as:
BUDDIES: Helping younger or new students, guided throughout the transitions into the new university. SPECIAL PROJECTS: Designing and Coordinating in terms of projects of benefit to students and other individuals within the community. ACADEMIC ASSISTANTS: Helping students in setting goals, considering options and planning of actions. REFERRAL AGENTS: Establishing further support through connection of students to appropriate specialists or professionals. EMOTIONAL FIRST AIDERS: Providing emotional support by sorting out problems and concern, brainstorming ideas through provision of practical help when possible. PEER FACILITATORS: Assisting students as conflict mediators in resolving disputes
