169 mothers who experienced stillbirth or neonatal death took part in the COCOON Philippines survey.
Our survey shows that mothers have different needs and experiences after losing a baby.
🔹 About 1 in 4 mothers wanted to see, hold, spend time with, and name their baby, but were less interested in keepsakes such as photos or handprints.
🔹 About 3 in 10 mothers said they did not receive the memory‑making support they wanted.
It is important to listen to and understand mothers’ experiences, so the support and care given to them can be more compassionate and respectful.
🙏 Thank you to all the mothers who shared their stories. Your voices matter.
