ALUMNI’S GOLD & BREW 💛☕️

NU Alumni COMM.unity attended National University Alumni Affairs Office’s (NU AAO) “Gold & Brew: Alumni Group Gathering” last August 23 at NU Manila Function Hall, 7th Floor of the Main Building.

President Chris Bonifacio and Batch 2025 Representative Lezter Abrenica represented NU Alumni COMM.unity.

With this event, NU AAO introduced its past successful projects from Academic Year 2024-2025 and endeavors for the A.Y. 2024-2025 and in the future. At the same time, it was an opportunity for the alumni groups to establish connections with one another.

This will not only maintain the link with their alma mater, but it will also help the future generations of Nationalians.

Congratulations to Ms. Danielle De Guzman, pioneer and former AB Communication professor, for being one of six 2025 Faculty Excellence Awardees from NU Manila!

The award is given to faculty members who exhibited academic excellence and service for Academic Year 2024-2025.

During that time, Ms. Dhanes taught communication and general education (GE) courses, and guided The Comm.pendium as the adviser.

This recognizes her dedication in providing quality education, and passion to encourage her students and colleagues 🫡

Congratulations to Ms. Trixiah Ann Maurez Gumba, Bachelor of Arts in Communication Summa Cum Laude graduate, for receiving the 2025 Commencement Don Mariano Fortunato Jhocson Memorial Award!

This award recognizes her academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular performances throughout her student life, while embodying the five core values of being a Nationalian.

Among her roles during her college days, she served as Academic Year 2023-2024 National University Central Student Government (NUCSG) President and 551st Media Chief Writer.

Ms. Trixiah is now the first-ever awardee from College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS) and Communication program of NU Manila.
