Congratulations to our Civil Engineering students Jose Manuel G. Blanco, Elijah Rafael J. Mallari, Gabriel V. Suguitan, John Maverick C. Villacarlos and their advisers Engr. Maria Emilia Sevilla and Engr. Jommel Macabagdal for being awarded Best Paper in the 11th International Conference on Civil, Structural and Transportation Engineering held in Barcelona, Spain last June 11-13, 2026.

Their paper ‘Al-Enabled Cost and Time Optimization in Construction through BIM and Genetic Algorithm Techniques’ was selected from several papers presented in the conference including participants from Canada, USA, Albania, France, Columbia, China, Malaysia, India, and UAE, among others.
