De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde stands with the Filipino Deaf community in calling for an inclusive 2027 national budget that upholds Filipino Sign Language (FSL), accessibility, linguistic rights, and meaningful Deaf participation.
We support the proposed General Provision on FSL in the 2027 General Appropriations Act as a step toward strengthening the implementation of Republic Act No. 11106, or the Filipino Sign Language Act.
Guided by the principle of “Nothing about us, without us,” we affirm that Deaf inclusion is essential to a just and equitable society.

Benilde SDEAS conducted an industry visit to Sutherland Philippines, providing an opportunity for meaningful exchange between the academe and industry.

The visit focused on gaining insights into the BPO sector, understanding workplace expectations, and exploring opportunities that support the professional growth and employment of Deaf talent.

Through stronger industry partnerships, SDEAS continues to bridge the gap between education and employment by creating opportunities for Deaf learners and graduates to engage with industry, develop relevant skills, and pursue meaningful career pathways.

We look forward to building more partnerships that advance inclusive workplaces and recognize the value and potential of Deaf professionals.
