ALL HAIL THE NEW PRINCE ๐คด๐น
Another milestone has been added to the Warriorsโ growing legacy as Gabriel Godoy, a humanities and social science (HUMSS) student from the University of the East (UE)-Manila, was crowned Mr. Teen World Philippines on May 2 at the Pilar Hidalgo-Lim Girl Scouts Headquarters.
Representing the Filipino community of Australia, Godoy competed against 15 other candidates and advanced to the finals after excelling in the preliminary competition and other scored segments.
During the coronation night, Godoy stood out in various segments, including the national costume competition, formal wear segment, and the high-stakes question-and-answer portion, where he was asked to describe the youth of today.
โWe have become very informed and resilient against societal issues and injustice. We do not fear to speak our minds and stand for the truth,โ he stated in his winning answer.
The newly crowned titleholder also emphasized that empowering the youth is vital in collectively standing against misinformation and breaking away from the norms and expectations imposed by previous generations.
When asked for his advocacy, he also shared his eagerness to help combat misinformation, which he described as "timely" in the Philippines today.
In an exclusive interview with the DAWN, Godoy shared what big trick he picked up as a Warrior that helped him during the competition.
"The one key lesson I learned is confidenceโit comes from preparation and determination. My experience in UE taught me to always believe in myself while facing challenges, staying humble, and being respectful," the pageant prince said.
Prior to winning the national title, the HUMSS student was crowned Mr. Basic Education Manila and finished as fourth runner-up in Mr. and Ms. UE 2025.
Godoy is set to represent the Philippines at the international Mr. Teen World competition, where young men between the ages of 15 and 20 from different nations will be judged based on charismatic appeal, leadership abilities, personal advocacies, and talent.
