The Artlets Economics Society of the UST Faculty of Arts and Letters, ever persevering in its goals to provide empowered and inspired Thomasian economists to the Philippine society, which was established by her forefathers in 1975, has

continually maintained her legacy of dynamism, intellect, and compassion in order to fully realize her vision of an enlightened Filipino nation for all.

This is the conclusion of a significant chapter, which also heralds the recognition of the incredible experience shared by our graduating Senior Ekonomistas! ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽ“

The Baccalaureate Mass served as a time to reflect on all the experiences during their time as a Thomasian. We grow into who we are, with every struggle and success, along with everything else that makes up our life as a Thomasian ๐Ÿฏ

May you carry these memories, lessons, and experiences with you as you move forward to new chapters of your lives. May the knowledge you gained at UST and the bonds you formed within the Artlets Economics Society continue to guide you in all your future endeavors

The UST-Artlets Economics Society extends its deepest condolences and prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Professor Amor Pedro.

Her dedication as an economics professor and researcher in the Faculty of Arts and Letters, alongside her leadership as OIC director of the Social Research Center, left an indelible mark on the University of Santo Tomas. She was the head of the Economics Department when the UST-Artlets Economics Society was founded in 1975.

She will be remembered not only for her academic contributions but also for her commitment to nurturing future generations of Thomasians.

A milestone built through months of research and perseverance.

After defending their thesis last April 20, 2026 shortlisted senior Economics students presented their study as candidates for the best thesis award, last May 8, 2026 at the University of Santo Tomas, St. Raymund de Peรฑafort Building. With an external panel led by Prof. Arlen A. Ancheta, PhD. and Assoc. Prof. Zosimo O. Membrebe, Jr., PhD. Their achievement reflects the dedication and passion poured into their academic journey.
