This is the official page of the UST-Artlets Economics Society, where we foster camaraderie, academic excellence, and leadership among students and alumni. The Artlets Economics Society of the UST Faculty of Arts and Letters, ever persevering in its goals to provide empowered and inspired Thomasian economists to the Philippine society, which was established by her forefathers in 1975, has

continually maintained her legacy of dynamism, intellect, and compassion in order to fully realize her vision of an enlightened Filipino nation for all.

This National Heroesโ€™ Day, we look back at the individuals whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love for country helped shape the Philippines we know today. From the heroes whose names have been immortalized in history to those whose sacrifices may have gone unnamed, their stories remind us of the struggles endured in pursuit of freedom and nationhood.

In remembrance of our heroes, we must understand where we can from and recognize the responsibility we carry toward a better future for the people. As Rizal reminds us, we cannot move forward without remembering the past. May we honor the legacy of our heroes by carrying forward the values they fought and sacrificed for, as we continue building the Philippines they envisioned ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

This August 21, we commemorate the life and sacrifice of Benigno Simeรณn Aquino Jr., a Filipino who stood firmly for freedom, democracy, and the nation. He is a voice that is always remembered during the years of authoritarian rule in the Philippines.

Every year, we remember him for what he stood for while he lived. His legacy reminds us that freedom is never something to take for granted, and that every generation has a responsibility to protect democracy, speak for what is right, and stand for the Filipino people.

Let us remember. Let us reflect. Let us continue to stand for the nation. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

As Thomasians, we are calling for accountability and timely suspension of classes in light of what happened on August 17.

The response should not begin only when students are already stranded. While rescue operations and food assistance were necessary and appreciated, these should be the extent of the response and not the substitute for timely preventive action.

The lights are on, the stage is set, and the Freshie Ekonomistas have officially come alive! During the Welcome Walk, our freshies showcased their creativity through the Welcome Walk Banner Making Competition, turning every element, color, and idea into a spectacle worth remembering. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

But among the masterpieces that took center stage, one block truly proved that โ€œThis Is Me!โ€ vibe. With a poster that embodied creativity, confidence, and the spirit of ECONTRAVAGANZA, And now, the moment weโ€™ve all been waiting forโ€ฆ๐Ÿฅ
