The GEDI Office, in partnership with the Planning Office, conducted a three-day workshop on March 23โ25, 2026 at Ramada Hotel Manila to strengthen the integration of Gender and Development (GAD) concepts in university-wide initiatives.
The workshop featured key speakers including Dr. Zenaida Q. Reyes, who introduced the legal basis, allocation strategies, and best practices in utilizing the mandated GAD budget to support impactful and sustainable programs. The session continued in the afternoon, allowing for deeper engagement and discussion, Mr. Danilo S. Cortez, Jr. introduced the PAPs (Programs, Activities, and Projects) MoVer process and tool, which supports systematic planning, monitoring, and evaluation of GAD-related initiatives, and Ms. Maria Jenivie V. Berba who equipped attendees with practical tools to ensure that gender perspectives are consistently incorporated into project design and implementation.
Sessions combined foundational discussions, policy integration, and hands-on approaches to ensure effective implementation.
Overall, the activity reinforced the universityโs commitment to gender-responsive governance by equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and tools needed to mainstream GAD in institutional programs and events.
