The discussion brought together experts to explore stronger regional collaboration in marine science, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building.

We’re excited to share that MolEcoTech is part of the second batch of the Kalalawdan Fellowship Program! 🌊

Our participation is through Dr. Chona Camille VinceCruz-Abeledo, Project Leader of MolEcoTech and Director of the Br. Alfred Shields FSC Ocean Research (SHORE) Center, who joins a distinguished group of fellows committed to strengthening science-informed and science-enabling maritime governance in the Philippines.

Over the coming months, the fellowship will bring together scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and leaders to bridge science, policy, and practice. At MolEcoTech, we believe that research should extend beyond publications—it should provide evidence that informs policies and empowers communities to make better decisions for biodiversity conservation and sustainable coastal resource management.

We look forward to learning, collaborating, and contributing to science that creates meaningful impact.

The SHORE Center joins the National Museum of the Philippines in celebrating a new milestone as the NMP-Baler opens its doors to the public tomorrow, June 30, 2026, in time for the celebration of Filipino-Spanish Friendship Day.

This new cultural space in Baler, Aurora highlights the rich history, heritage, and shared stories that connect communities across generations. We celebrate this meaningful addition that brings history, science, culture, and public engagement closer to the people.

Congratulations to the National Museum of the Philippines and all partners who made this possible. May NMP-Baler inspire deeper appreciation of our collective heritage and continue to serve as a space for learning, discovery, and connection.
