FEATI High School Buwan ng Wika 2026

Ang matagumpay na pagdiriwang ng taunang selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa ng Departamento ng High School sa pangunguna ng tapangasiwa ng selebrasyon at g**o sa asignaturang Filipino na G. Kenneth Anthone D. Lazo, LPT. sa patnubay at gabay ng punong g**o na si Bb. Salvacion kasama ang punong tagapangasiwa ng Departmento ng High School na si Bb. Jowina "Ging" Segovia. Dumalo rin sa pagdiriwang ang kapita-pitagang Pangulo ng Unibersidad na si Doktora Susan Gallardo kasama ang Ikalawang Pangulo ng Unibersidad na si Doktora Evelyn Creencia. Samantalang ang naging tagapagdaloy ng palatuntunan ay sina G. Nathaniel Ray Battad mula sa Baitang 12 - STEM at si Bb. Aiesha Joli Ortega mula sa Baitang 11.

Ang tema ng selebrasyon ngayong taon ay “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon" kung saan inilahad ng tagapangasiwa ng selebrasyon na si G. Lazo ang kahalagahan ng Wikang Filipino at ang matalinong paggamit ng A.I o Artifical Intelligence at kung sa paanong paraan makatutulong ang A.I at Wikang Filipino sa pagpapayaman ng impormasyon at pagpapatibay ng pananaliksik.

Ang isa sa mga inabangan ng mga panauhin ay ang pagtatanghal ng Departmento ng High School. Una na nga riyan ang Sayaw ng Pagkakaisa. Sumunod ang pagtatanghal ng katutubong sayaw na Subli mula sa Batangas at Pangalay mula sa Sulu, Mindanao ng Junior High School. Samantalang ang ang Baitang 11 nama'y naghain ng isang makabagbag damdaming Isang Yugtong Musikal na Dulaan at panghuli ay ang maalab na pagtatanghal ng Baitang 12 STEM Sabayang Pagbigkas na ang piyesa ay "Bayan ko" ni Jose Corazon de Hesus. Nagkaroon din ng munting salo-salo kung saan tampok ang mga pagkaing pinoy at sa pagsapit ng hapon ay sumabak naman sa Palaro ng Lahi ang mga mag-aaral, kung saan naranasan nila't nasiyahan sila sa paglalaro ng mga Palarong Pinoy.

Naging makulay, masaya at puno ng kagalakan ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika ngayong taon. Patuloy nating pagyamanin, palaganapin at yakapin ang Wikanv Filipino kasama na rin ang ating sariling kultura at tradisyon.

Professional Schools Organizes Seminar On Teaching Strategies, Other Faculty Development Topics

Equipping faculty members with approaches and plans for more effective instruction, the Professional Schools organized a seminar on “Teaching Strategies” held on August 7, 2026 at the Senior High School Robotics Room. The resource person was University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Executive Vice President Dr. Marjorie Gutierrez- Tangog.

Tangog, who was introduced by the University Board Chairman Dr. Gloria M. Alberto, conducted a Multiple Intelligences Inventory, discussed Learning Strategies that Utilize Modalities such as kinesthetic, auditory, and visual, and explained designing the ADIDS and the ADIDAS Learning Experience. In this Learning Experience, the students engage in activity, discussion, they give inputs, and synthesis. In ADIDAS, the added feature is the “application” phase. These are helpful tools in transforming a lecture-centered lesson into an active learning experience.

This particular seminar on Teaching Strategies was important because it helps faculty members recalibrate their teaching strategies and attune them to the needs of their students.

Professional Schools Director Dr. Cesar F. Domingo, said that FEATI University through his office launched a series of seminars in August with the objective of improving the delivery of academic programs to higher levels of quality, competency and capability.

The program, delivered through six intensive highly interactive seminars and workshops, were attended by the University’s academic group consisting of full time and part time instructors, program heads, department chairs and deans joined by the University President, Dr. Susan M. Gallardo, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Evelyn Creencia and Quality Assurance Services Director Engr. Eulalio Creencia.

The seminars were: AI Teacher’s Toolbox held on August 1 with Engr. Sofia Rey as resource person; August 4 , Assessment of Learning with Test Construction with Dr. Perlita Custodio as speaker held on August 4; Academic Leaders Orientation Workshop, an executive orientation for the Management Committee, composed of deans, department chairs and program heads held on August 5 with Prof. Alberto A. Laurito as speaker; Teaching Strategies with Dr. Marjorie Gutierrez- Tangog as speaker held on August 7, and a two-day Intensive Faculty Writeshop on OBE with Prof. Alberto A. Laurito and Dr. Evelyn R. Laurito as resource persons held on August 14 and August 15.

Custodio Discusses Learning Assessment, Test Construction at FEATI Faculty Seminar

Renowned speaker and educator Dr. Perlita Custodio shared her expertise on assessment and testing in the faculty seminar on “Assessment of Learning with Test Construction” held on August 4, 2026 at the Senior High School Robotics Room.

Custodio, who serves as Assistant Director of the Perpetual Help University DALTA Executive Accreditation and Audit Center, began the discussion with Stephen Covey’s second habit: “Begin with the end in mind” because assessment and testing are activities in class that take place toward the end of the semester but, it should be one of the initial concerns of the teacher.

Using Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the student-centered teaching framework that is advocated by many education specialists, Custodio discussed Learning Outcomes, Bloom’s Taxonomy, the OBE Constructive Alignment, the Six-Step Approach to Assessment, the need for Table of Specifications, and the Types of Test and How to Construct them. She gave examples of types of test such as matching type, alternate response, completion, among others, and explained how these test types that teachers have been using for years can be made more attuned to a learner-centered learning.

“Teach for retention,” Cusotdio emphasized in her lecture. This, after all is every teacher’s goal that their students remember what they have learned in class that can be gauged by their answers during examinations, which is one type of assessment.

An open forum ensued after the lecture. Engr. John Louie M. Climacosa from the Department of Aeronautics acted as Master of Ceremonies. The seminar was organized by the Professional Schools.
